Hi, I'm JP. I'm a medical editor with more than 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing and medical communications. I have helped run editorial departments at agencies large and small.
I've worked on the agency side and independently, supporting medical writers, creative teams, account teams, and clients with copyediting, proofreading, fact checking, annotation, Veeva preparation, presentation cleanup, and editorial QC. I've also played on volleyball teams and built some office furniture.
JPS3 Enterprises provides director-level freelance editorial support to pharmaceutical marketing and medcomms agencies.
Editing is a notoriously difficult craft to demonstrate ability in. The best editing is invisible. Like NFL linemen and test pilots, if we're doing our job right, you won't know our names.
So, in lieu of having you over to peep over my shoulder while I work (which, click the button if interested!), I invite you to check out JP's Pharma Marketing Lexicon below. It is a modest thing; a Google Doc listing terms, acronyms, and jargon used in the world of pharmaceutical marketing. I built it out over years of work in the industry, mostly by writing down the mysterious phrases said during meetings on my hand, going back to my desk, and googling them once the meeting was over.
Though simple, this tool has been adopted by colleagues throughout my career as a key aid to their understanding of the space. It is a demonstration of my attitude toward editing and writing work; practical steps, done with diligence but without hesitation, leading to powerful solutions. Check out the Lexicon
